Tax and Estate Planning Practice Area
Joyce Sealand is aware that clients want to protect their estates for their spouses and children, as well as other parties or charities. They need to know that their wishes will be addressed in a manner that will be easily understood. Clients also want to know that during this process, they will be able to ask questions and change their minds. This is not uncommon, and Ms. Sealand is always open to such concerns.
Ms. Sealand has practiced in the areas of estate and tax planning, tax return preparation, and probate law for 23 years. She serves individuals from all walks of life, addressing their different issues with the same degree of professionalism.
She is well experienced in addressing clients' needs, concerns, and questions in matters including but not limited to:
- Drafting individual estate plans
- Staying abreast of changing tax laws so that the effects of such changes can be considered in estate and tax planning
- Opening probate estates and guiding the parties through the process
- Preparing individual, trust, and estate tax returns and representing clients before the IRS
She is a member of the Memphis Bar Association, Association of Women Attorneys, and the Estate Planning Counsel. She is an avid reader and enjoys the book club formed with friends over fifteen years ago. She studies watercolor painting with a well-known local artist.
