Litigation and Intellectual Property Practice Area
Clay Culpepper serves as counsel to an array of businesses and has represented clients in all stages of litigation in state and federal courts, as well as in arbitration and mediation. Mr. Culpepper advises clients in various actions including but not limited to:
- claims for breach of contract
- insurance coverage
- breach of fiduciary duty
- non-competes
- securities violations
- lease violations
Mr. Culpepper primarily focuses his practice in commercial and general civil litigation. He also represents injured individuals and families in wrongful death actions. He has successfully litigated and settled significant awards for a number of clients.
Clay's varied practice also includes representation and serving as general counsel and agent to a nationally syndicated radio personality and other television and radio clients. He handles contract negotiations with radio and television stations, product endorsement, marketing campaigns, negotiating advertising contracts, working with affiliates hosting client programming, and general legal advice. He is a member of the Tennessee and Memphis Bar Associations. Before graduating from the University of Memphis, cum laude, in 2004, he was a staff member of the U. of M. Law Review, a recipient of the Dean's Award for Excellence in both Best Memorandum and Best Oral Advocate, and a 2009 graduate, of the Memphis Bar Association Leadership Forum, and a former member of the Leo Bearman, Sr. American Inn of Court.
Mr. Culpepper is married to fellow attorney, Suzanne Culpepper. They have two children, Murphy and Madden. They are members of Fellowship Memphis Church, where he serves as usher. Mr. Culpepper enjoys reading, college sports, hunting and fishing, and the outdoors.
