He has also served as lead counsel in construction litigation, general business litigation, and employment law matters. Before private practice, Buck was an assistant district attorney general for the 25th Judicial District of Tennessee. He is a member of the American, Tennessee and Memphis Bar Associations and the Collierville Construction Board of Appeals. He is very active in the community and serves as pro bono counsel for the Collierville Farmers Market and as a tutor for the Collierville Literacy Council, and he coaches for the Collierville Soccer Association and Grace Evangelical Church. Buck and his wife, Kim, have three boys and are members of Collierville First Baptist Church, where they teach Sunday School for the preschool ministry.
Recent representation matters as lead counsel:
- Represented a Fortune 50 company and wholesale inventory floor-plan lender in federal court in the repossession and seizure of over one Million dollars of financed inventory
- Represented a Fortune 50 company and equipment finance lender in negotiating the voluntary surrender of two Lear Jets originally valued at approximately $9 Million and prosecuted in state court the remaining deficiency balance
- Represented leading international used-car wholesale inventory floor-plan lender in the repossession and seizure of large-scale financed inventory
- Represented and defended two multinational agricultural companies in state court and obtained a dismissal of the case against the clients, in a dispute involving the application of the federal Food Security Act of 1985 and a competing state law agricultural lien/security interest
- Represented and defended a physician in state court in an action brought his physician's former physician practice group for the alleged violation of a physician non-compete agreement and obtained a dismissal of the case against the physician and the awarding of his attorneys' fees
