Caren Beth Nichol

Caren Nichol understands that her clients want quick, inexpensive solutions to their problems and she works creatively to make that happen.  As a member of the firm's Board of Directors and leader of the Litigation Practice Group, she has experience with what it takes to run a business and knows her clients want expeditious and aggressive solutions to their legal problems.  Ms. Nichol is the parent of  two boys and is sensitive to the issues that parents face in divorce. Due to her varied experience, she is uniquely positioned to assist the owners of businesses in their divorce with the assistance of corporate, tax, and estate planning attorneys within the firm.  Ms. Nichol also assists clients with prenuptial and postnuptial agreements.

Ms. Nichol's litigation practice consists of a unique combination of commercial litigation, family law, and appellate practice.  Admitted to practice before the Sixth Circuit, she is a Rule 31 trained family law mediator and collaborative lawyer.

Ms. Nichol is a member of the American, Tennessee and Memphis Bar Associations.  She currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Memphis Bar Foundation and the Children's Museum of Memphis and is a member of the Tennessee Bar Foundation.  She is a former member of the Leo Bearman, Sr. American Inn of Court and was a member of the inaugural class of the Tennessee Bar Associations Leadership Law Program.  Ms. Nichol received the Sam A. Myar, Jr. Memorial Award for service to the community and the Bar Association.
