Bert Echols concentrates his practice on the representation of creditors in consumer and commercial bankruptcy matters locally and throughout the state of Florida. Bert’s experience includes protecting creditors’ rights in bankruptcy, including automatic stay issues, plan treatment, lien avoidance actions, and defending claims of preferential transfers. Bert further represents creditors in general consumer finance litigation, including replevin actions to recover property, seizures and forfeitures, and disputes involving statutory liens.
Bert is admitted to practice in the state courts of Tennessee and Florida. He is also admitted to practice before the U.S. Districts Courts for the Western District of Tennessee, Northern District of Florida, Middle District of Florida, Southern District of Florida, and all of the Bankruptcy Courts in each of these districts.
Bert currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Bankruptcy Section of the Memphis Bar Association.
